Product Review: Ergobaby Metro+ Stroller

Updated: Mar 14, 2023

From a company best known for their high quality baby carriers, Ergobaby is looking to make a name for themselves in the travel stroller market.

The Metro+ boasts a comfortable ride for babies built into a compact frame. When it comes to compact strollers for babies and toddlers, safety and convenience are key. You and your child need a stroller that keeps them comfortable while making your life easier. A compact stroller will do just that.

Ergobaby’s Metro+ Stroller is not only compact and lightweight, but it’s also newborn-ready and car seat-compatible. With an ergonomic seat that reclines and has extra cozy cushioned padding and an adjustable handlebar the stroller focuses on comfort for both the baby and whoever is pushing Baby on the go. Infant and toddler stroller accessories, from sunshades and a carry bag to car seat adapters and support bars, adapt this reliable stroller for any situation.

Yays & Nays

Yays 🥰

  • This stroller is a comfortable and smooth ride for Baby

  • Sunshade is large and can provide a good amount of shade to keep Baby cool and relaxed

  • The deep recline and adjustable footrest can provide a great place for your little one to nap on the go

  • Simple and quick seat adjustment whether you want to recline the seat or sit it back into an upright position.

  • Fits in most airplane overhead bins so you can take it onboard the aircraft without instead of gate checking

  • Adjustable handle that is great for parents/guardians of different heights.

  • Mesh back so baby has good ventilation within the stroller

  • Magnetic peep hole making it a quiet way to check on the baby from above.

Nays 🥱

  • This stroller is so loud - from the sunshade to the adjustable handles to the footrest. Each part clicks into each new position with a sonic boom. At least it would seem that way when you have a sleeping baby in the stroller and you need to move any of these parts.

  • The simple fold is not quite one handed. It is a bit clunky and you really need to have two hands on it to keep it balanced enough to close properly. This may be able to change over time with practice.

  • The car seat adapters have to be screwed onto the frame of the stroller. When this is done, you lose a few of the strollers benefits including the compact size and the ability to fold.

  • While the stroller comes with a weather shield, it does not come with a carrying bag. And the way this stroller stands on its own and needs to be carried, the bag is really a must to be its most convenient form for travel. (Update: Ergobaby is currently offering a free carrying bag with the stroller when you use the code FREEBAG at checkout.)

Conclusion:

The metro+ is a really great option for parents looking to keep their baby comfortable all day while traveling around on vacation and the compact fold and light weight of this stroller makes it ideal for airplane travel.
